Training & workshops

Training that uses your documents, your workflows, your Tuesday.

Generic AI training produces impressive demos and no change. Every Omega AI session is built around the work your team is actually behind on, and every participant leaves with prompts saved, a policy to follow and one habit to run next week.

  • On site: Launceston & Hobart
  • Live online: Australia-wide
  • Up to 12 people per session
  • Recording included

AI Foundations for Business

Who it’s for: whole teams and leadership groups new to AI, or coming back after a false start.

What people leave able to do

  • Explain what today’s AI tools are genuinely good and bad at, without the hype
  • Spot which tasks in their own week are worth handing over
  • Write a prompt that produces usable output on the first or second attempt
  • Recognise a confidently wrong answer and know how to check it
  • State clearly what business information must never be pasted into a public tool
Half-day · 3.5 hrs Role-specific

AI for Admin & Operations

Who it’s for: office managers, administrators, schedulers and the people holding the business together.

What people leave able to do

  • Draft, summarise and triage email far faster while keeping their own voice
  • Turn messy notes, voice memos and threads into clean records and job sheets
  • Generate documents from templates without retyping the same fields
  • Build a reusable prompt library for their recurring weekly tasks
  • Know exactly which steps still need a human check before anything goes out
Half-day · 3.5 hrs Role-specific

AI for Sales & Customer Service

Who it’s for: sales staff, estimators, quoting teams and anyone answering customer enquiries.

What people leave able to do

  • Turn an enquiry email into a first-draft quote or proposal in minutes
  • Research a prospect or sector quickly, and verify what they find
  • Write follow-up sequences that sound like a person, not a template
  • Summarise a call into a CRM note and next action without losing detail
  • Keep customer information out of tools it should not be in

AI for Finance & Bookkeeping

Who it’s for: bookkeepers, finance officers and business owners doing their own books.

What people leave able to do

  • Pull structured data out of invoices, statements and receipts reliably
  • Draft month-end commentary from figures they already have
  • Use AI to explain a variance without letting it invent the numbers
  • Build repeatable checks so an AI-assisted step can be audited
  • Apply firm rules on what financial data may leave your systems

Training only. Omega AI does not provide accounting, tax or financial advice.

Prompting That Works

Who it’s for: anyone who has used an AI tool, been unimpressed, and suspects they are holding it wrong.

What people leave able to do

  • Structure a request so the first answer is close to usable
  • Give context, examples and constraints instead of one-line questions
  • Iterate deliberately rather than starting again from scratch
  • Save and share prompts so good results are repeatable across the team
2 hours Policy included

Using AI Safely: Privacy, Policy and Risk

Who it’s for: owners, managers and any team handling customer, health, financial or employee data.

What people leave able to do

  • Classify business information by sensitivity and decide what may be used where
  • Understand where data goes in the tools they already have, and where it is stored
  • Apply a written internal AI usage policy — drafted during the session
  • Handle the awkward cases: customer records, staff files, contracts, quotes
  • Explain the position confidently to a customer who asks

General guidance and practical process. Not legal advice — have your adviser review any policy before adopting it.

Half-day · 3.5 hrs Leadership

AI for Managers: Choosing What to Automate

Who it’s for: owners, GMs and operations managers deciding where money and attention should go.

What people leave able to do

  • Score candidate use cases on value, effort, risk and time-to-result
  • Set a measurable baseline before approving any project
  • Recognise a vendor pitch that will not survive contact with your data
  • Decide where a human must stay in the loop, and write that down
  • Leave with a first-draft 90-day shortlist for their own business

Something specific to your industry?

Sessions are regularly reshaped for trades and construction, aged care and allied health, professional services, tourism and hospitality, transport, and not-for-profits. If your workflow is unusual, that is a reason to talk, not a problem.

In-house or open workshop?

In-house — one business, your material

Run on site at your premises in Launceston or Hobart, or live online for distributed teams. We build the session around your own quotes, emails, reports and systems, which is what makes it stick.

Best when

  • You have 6–12 people in similar roles
  • The work involves confidential or customer-specific material
  • You want a usage policy written for your business, not a generic one
  • You need everyone at the same standard by a certain date

From $2,400 + GST per half-day, up to 12 people

Open workshop — mixed businesses

Scheduled sessions in Launceston with a handful of businesses in the room. Cheaper per seat, and the cross-industry discussion is genuinely one of the better parts. Exercises use neutral sample material rather than your own documents.

Best when

  • You want to send one or two people first
  • You are testing whether AI is worth investing in at all
  • Your team is small and an in-house day is more than you need
  • You would like to hear how other local businesses are handling it

Open workshop dates are released by email. Email hello@omegaai.com.au and we will let you know when the next Launceston session is scheduled, with per-seat pricing.

Associations, chambers and networks

Need a speaker who won’t just say “AI is changing everything”?

Omega AI presents to industry associations, chambers of commerce, business networks and not-for-profit boards across Tasmania — in person in the north, and online anywhere in Australia.

Talk formats

  • 20-minute keynote with Q&A
  • 45-minute practical session with live demonstration
  • 90-minute workshop where members work on their own tasks

Topics that land well

  • What AI is actually doing in small Australian businesses today
  • The five admin jobs worth handing over first
  • Privacy, data residency and what to tell your customers
  • How to tell a useful AI vendor from an expensive one

What we need

  • Audience make-up and rough business sizes
  • Time slot and whether Q&A is included
  • Screen and audio, or a video link

Enquire about speaking

Speaking fees for member associations and community organisations are negotiable — tell us the context.

Next step

Tell us who is in the room and what they’re behind on.

We will recommend one session — not a program — and tell you honestly if a two-hour workshop would do the job of a full day.
